Senior Financial Analyst

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Cook up the annual budget and regular Committed Value forecasts.
• Keep a watchful eye on how well the forecasts match up with reality.
• Figure out what’s causing any discrepancies and fix them.

Revenue & Margin Analysis

• Take a deep dive into the numbers to understand how much money is coming in and where it’s going.
• Look at things like volume, mix, and margins to see how they’re doing.

Backlog Management

• Collect and analyze sales backlog data.
• Report on the backlog to help the business make better decisions.

Cost of Goods Sold Management

• Make a detailed forecast of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
• Report actual COGS figures monthly to track progress.
• Work with Product leadership to find ways to save money.

Revenue Management

• Investigate and reconcile deals to make sure the right amount of revenue is being recorded.
• Ensure deals are correctly allocated to different products or services.

Operational Finance

• Manage Capital Expenditures (CapEx) to stay on track with financial goals.
• Track Headcount to align with financial targets.

Product Knowledge

• Build up knowledge about the products you support.
• Use this knowledge to explain trends in big data sets in simple terms.
• Share insights from different product teams in a clear way.

Executive Reporting

• Create brief monthly performance summaries.
• Help prepare Monthly Business Review (MBR) presentations.

Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills

• Experience in recurring or SaaS revenue businesses.
• Ability to get support and agreement from different groups.
• Skills in revenue and margin forecasting.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets and Oracle.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Relevant certifications like CPA or MBA.

Target Base Salary Range

$80,000 - $90,000 USD

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 4+ years of work experience in Finance or Accounting.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
