About the role
Alexander Graham Bell Center, Amazon Business, NA CPS seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support Large Customers across its NA Commercial, Public and Strategic (CPS) business segment. This role will partner with business teams to drive profitable growth through financial analysis, business insights, and data-driven decision-making across customer segments and verticals.
Responsibilities
- Partner with CPS business teams as a finance resource, providing analytical support to drive profitable topline growth across customer segments
- Support growth initiatives by building financial models that quantify opportunity size, investment requirements, and expected returns for new programs and sales motions
- Conduct financial analysis of large customer initiatives including deal structuring, pricing scenarios, and ROI evaluation of managed spend opportunities
- Continuous improvement to our scalable deal evaluation process. Perform deal analysis including building bespoke customer deal models, tracking post-launch actuals versus projections, and identifying patterns to improve deal economics
- Support Financial Planning and Analysis cycle including topline and P&L planning, guidance revisions, monthly financial reviews, and variance analysis
- Build and automate reporting and metrics that enable business teams to track performance against goals and surface actionable insights. Use AI to automate and streamline processes.
- Engage with cross-functional partners across CPS Sales, FP&A, Go-To-Market Operations, and Managed Spend teams to develop insights and support initiatives
- Communicate financial analysis and recommendations through effective verbal and written communication, leveraging tools including Excel, SQL, and business intelligence platforms
Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
- 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
