About the Role

The Senior Financial Analyst/Accountant, Core is a key Finance role supporting the Travel Services business (including the Collegiate Travel Office and Owned & Operated events such as the Aer Lingus Classic) and the broader FP&A function across the Core Business portfolio. This position delivers accurate, timely financial information and analytics to drive decision-making, strengthen reporting rigor, and improve visibility into event and program-level performance. The ideal candidate brings strong technical analytics, financial modeling skills, and a business-partnering mindset to thrive in a fast-paced, people-oriented organization. This role offers meaningful exposure to senior finance leadership and cross-functional business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial forecasts, budgets, and management reports for the Travel Services portfolio, tracking operational and financial metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Perform variance analysis vs. plan, prior year, and latest forecast, identifying trends and delivering actionable insights.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including preparation and review of variance explanations and management reporting outputs.
  • Build and enhance financial models for travel programs, hospitality packages, and event operations to support planning and profitability analysis.
  • Own program and event-level profitability reporting across the Travel Services portfolio, partnering with business leads to monitor revenue performance, cost drivers, and margin optimization.
  • Partner with Controllership to support accurate accounting treatment, completeness of accruals, and adherence to financial reporting policies.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel/BI dashboards.
  • Support contract analysis and revenue recognition considerations (e.g., principal vs. agent) in partnership with senior finance staff.
  • Contribute to systems and reporting initiatives, including data integrity and controls across finance platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, and related tools).
  • Support special projects related to revenue enhancement, price/volume analysis, and margin optimization.
  • Work extended hours as needed to meet the demands of peak event and reporting periods, including month-end close and key travel program deadlines.
  • Ensure finance has a key seat at the table on decisions with financial impact.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, or analytics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA and/or MBA a plus.
  • Experience in live events, hospitality, sports, or entertainment businesses strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial close processes, P&L structures, cost allocation, and profitability drivers.
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills; experience with BI/dashboarding tools (e.g., Glean, Omni, Power BI) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite and SAP) a plus.
  • Ability to influence and partner with cross-functional stakeholders and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience producing executive-ready deliverables for senior leadership.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and balance competing deadlines.

Pay

Hiring rate range: $65,625 – $87,500 annually (minimum will not fall below applicable State/local minimum salary thresholds).
