Senior Financial Aid Officer

About the role

Join American Career College to meet with students and prospective students, providing information on financial aid and helping them develop a financial plan for their healthcare career goals. Utilize your technical financial aid skills to ensure proper eligibility and processing in accordance with federal, state, and institutional rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as VA Certifying Official for the campus, including monitoring eligibility status for students receiving military education benefits, updating enrollment and eligibility details in VA Once software, and responding to student questions or requests for information.
• Assist with training and mentoring new Financial Aid Planners through appointment observations, mentoring, and shadowing activities.
• Review pending private loan disbursements, batch, adjust, or schedule refunds as appropriate, and document actions in CampusVue and ELM.
• Assist the Financial Aid Director with general operations and management activities, such as monitoring the office appointment calendar, delegating activities, managing student traffic, and generating or compiling reports or data as requested.

Requirements

• Ability to demonstrate the highest levels of integrity and professional ethics in all aspects of the job function.
• Excellent communication skills through active listening and clear, effective information delivery.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Financial Aid Planner at American Career College is preferred.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree from an accredited College or University required.
