About the role
As a trusted partner at Gallagher Benefit Services, you’ll guide organizations through critical people decisions, helping clients build workplaces where employees feel supported, empowered, and inspired. This role focuses on providing financial decision-making guidance to account teams and clients, conducting client-facing meetings, and representing the underwriting team’s core services.
Responsibilities
- Analyze carrier data for complex clients and provide recommendations to account management teams or clients to negotiate rates and funding levels.
- Evaluate and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports measuring client financial status, tracking expenses by product line, renewal projections, funding levels, and rates for account teams and clients.
- Evaluate, assign, monitor, and peer-review reports generated by underwriting team subordinates.
- Act as a consultant to internal staff and clients, addressing complex issues and needs to assist in client retention.
- Provide underwriting analysis services tailored to client needs and strategic interests.
- Support the sales process by producing financial projections and underwriting analysis for large accounts.
- Oversee and help conduct underwriting team training programs for staff and clients.
- Serve as a resource to branch office staff to contribute to measurable ROI of services and client retention.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5 years of experience with a Broker or Carrier, focused on Health and Benefits.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
- High degree of understanding of employee benefits funding mechanisms.
- Familiarity with carrier reporting systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
- Effective negotiation skills.
