Senior Financial Accountant - Revenue and Reporting

About the role

The ideal role for an accounting professional growing into an FP&A career track. This is a hands-on role, working directly with the CFO, blending financial planning & analysis with core accounting execution — you'll take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering, while also supporting close and revenue recognition. You'll bring a tech-forward mindset, using Campfire and AI tools to modernize accounting and FP&A processes, freeing up more time for strategically impactful work.

Key Responsibilities

• FP&A & Business Partnering:
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning models, partnering closely with the CFO and department leaders to support strategic decision-making.
  • Build and maintain reporting and dashboards that give leadership real-time visibility into financial performance.
  • Support variance analysis and financial storytelling — explaining not just what happened, but why.
• Accounting Support:
  • Support month-end close and revenue recognition processes, helping ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Systems & Process Improvement:
  • Become a power user of the Campfire platform, using it to automate and speed up close, reconciliation, and forecasting processes.
  • Identify and implement AI-enabled solutions (within Campfire and other AI tools) for reporting, forecasting, and accounting workflows.
• Audit & Compliance:
  • Support the annual financial statement audit, preparing reports and supporting documentation as needed.

Who are you?

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA a plus.
• 3-5+ years of experience spanning accounting and FP&A, or accounting experience with a genuine interest in moving into FP&A (SaaS or technology environment preferred).
• Working knowledge of GAAP and exposure to ASC 606/SaaS revenue models.
• Experience with Campfire, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Genuine interest in leveraging AI tools (Claude, Copilot, or similar) for process automation across accounting and FP&A.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insight.
• Strong communication skills — this role partners directly with Finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
