About the role
The Sr. International Finance Accountant plays a crucial role in managing the financial operations of international entities in the UK and Canada. This position requires a blend of hands-on accounting expertise and strategic financial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the end-to-end accounting for international entities.
- Direct all phases of the period-end close process for UK and Canadian entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting within the 3-day close window.
- Execute all manual journal entries and transactional processing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to both US GAAP and local statutory standards.
- Manage international tax and statutory compliance, including the preparation and filing of VAT and GST/HST returns in coordination with the Sr. Manager of Tax.
- Maintain the integrity of the international balance sheets through rigorous account reconciliations and BSR (Balance Sheet Review) deep-dives.
- Act as the primary Finance Business Partner for international leads, providing deep-dive P&L commentary and identifying budget-vs-actual variances.
- Drive process improvements to scale manual international workflows into automated, high-efficiency system processes.
- Spearhead audit readiness for international entities, serving as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors.
- Ensure the accuracy of UK and Canadian payroll by auditing Workday reports, preparing monthly payroll reports, and recording journal entries to the general ledger.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a specific focus on international or multi-entity environments.
- Proven experience in full cycle accounting, from daily transactions to the preparation of final financial statements.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS and familiarity with UK and Canadian local accounting and tax regulations.
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to manage complex, manual data sets independently.
- High proficiency with ERP systems, specifically Oracle Cloud and OneStream.
- Experience providing cross-functional financial insights and variance analysis to influence international business strategy and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred.

Pay
- Pay range (US based applicants): $81,606 - $105,000 (annualized).
- Pay range (CAD based applicants): $79,292 - $99,115 (annualized).
