Senior Financial Accountant

As the organization continues to grow, the Senior Accountant will play an important role in supporting the accounting operations for a growing portfolio of real estate properties and development projects. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned real estate properties and development projectsPerform property-level accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash activity, and general ledger transactionsPrepare monthly financial statements and property-level reportingPerform monthly account reconciliations and investigate variancesAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for properties and development projectsRecord and reconcile construction and development costsReview property operating expenses and maintain accurate supporting documentationAssist with the preparation of financial reports for management, investors, and other stakeholdersCoordinate with property management, development, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reportingSupport the month-end and year-end close processesAssist with audits, tax-related requests, and other accounting projects as neededIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3+ years of progressive accounting experienceReal estate or property accounting experience strongly preferredStrong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reportingExperience with account reconciliations and month-end closeExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong Excel skills and the ability to work with large amounts of financial dataAbility to manage multiple priorities in a growing organization Why Join?
