Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end oversight and input steering of the Marketing Spend Effectiveness (MSE) process
- Ensuring alignment with priorities and coordination with internal stakeholders and external agencies
- Guiding and challenging marketing inputs, assumptions, and business context to ensure relevance for modeling
- Coordinating MSE priorities with external agencies for data, modeling, and insights generation
- Overseeing MSE process input readiness and issue resolution (gaps, inconsistencies)
- Aligning MSE scope and timing with business planning cycles
Strategy and Insights Development
- Developing a strong understanding of revenue growth drivers and translating MSE model outputs into meaningful and actionable business insights
- Using volume attribution to validate and sense-check marketing investment efficiency and effectiveness
- Optimizing and enhancing revenue performance and equity of brands
- Analyzing ROI, spend frequency, touchpoint mix, and potential optimizations
Executive Storytelling and Decision Framing
- Developing and delivering executive presentations, workshops, and decision packs
- Structuring insights into clear narratives
- Communicating findings to stakeholders, incorporating feedback, and refining outputs to improve decision quality
- Supporting scenario-based discussions to evaluate alternative investment strategies
- Ensuring consistency and clarity of messaging across stakeholders
Governance, Alignment, and Actionability
- Establishing and running governance routines to track insights, decisions, and follow-ups
- Driving cross-functional alignment on business and investment priorities aligned to strategic actions
- Translating insights into concrete actions, including budget reallocations and channel/campaign optimization
- Tracking implementation of agreed actions and ensuring follow-through across teams
- Feeding learnings into future cycles for continuous improvement
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Commercial Finance or Commercial Planning & Insights
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
Advanced Excel skills and strong data modeling capabilities
Proven experience in data modeling, operational planning, MSE analysis, and insights generation
Experience with tools and methodologies for spend analysis and analytics
Proficiency in Power BI and MicroStrategy beneficial
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with budget holders and cross-functional teams
Exposure to Marketing effectiveness/MMM/analytics environments
MBA or Master’s degree is a plus
