Senior Finance Manager – Enterprise WWPP and R&D Finance

This role is a critical position within GE HealthCare’s Science & Technology Organization (STO) Finance team, directly supporting the Finance Leader for STO FP&A and Enterprise R&D. It is best suited for someone who wants to grow in their Finance career and contribute to GEHC’s Research & Development goals, company purpose, and drive tangible outcomes. This individual will have broad exposure to senior leadership including STO, CTO organization, Group FP&A, and Segment finance teams, and will play a key role in shaping GE HealthCare’s R&D investment strategy and financial rigor.

Responsibilities

  • WWPP Enterprise Finance Support & Integration
    • Supports the annual WWPP review cycle with CEO/CFO; closely partners with Segment Finance, Group FP&A, CTOs, and regional leaders.
    • Governs WWPP policy, finance parameters, and NPI business case frameworks.
    • Drives 100% compliance with PPM tool (Portfolio Project Management) as the single source of truth for NPI tracking.
    • Scales R&D Power BI dashboards to enable ROI-based program ranking and portfolio optimization.
    • Performs regular audits to drive governance and full compliance of WWPP finance policy.
    • Partners with Group FP&A to integrate WWPP outputs into LTS, Budget, and BOD review cycles.
    • Uses lean principles to improve current WWPP processes and operating mechanisms, enhancing qualitative output.
  • Enterprise R&D Spend Consolidation/Analytics and Innovation KPI Reporting
    • Collaborates with Segment R&D Finance leaders to consolidate global R&D Financials, develop trends, storytelling, and support decision-making (~$2B across 300+ programs).
    • Provides Global R&D spend and NPI updates for Board-level reviews and Investor relations teams.
    • Leads three L0 NPI innovation metrics at the company level: NPI Vitality, L0 Lighthouse NPI Orders, and Launch Bowler.
    • Drives standard work and automation for weekly/monthly Innovation KPIs by establishing consistent reporting processes, automating data flows, and strengthening governance.
    • Supports ongoing enhancements to the IMS NPI dashboard ecosystem by integrating new datasets, improving usability, and driving broader adoption.
  • STO Finance Change Champion
    • Champions standardization, leads transformation, and builds capabilities across STO finance and operations (standard work/guidance, process consistency, targeted transformation initiatives).
    • Strengthens STO-specific planning, program structure, and executive rigor through PPM standardization and tool enhancements.
    • Develops forward-looking analytics and forecasting capabilities in Power BI and enterprise tools to move from rear-view reporting to forward-looking forecasting.
  • STO R&D Investment Planning Support (WWPP, LTS, Budget)
    • Supports STO planning cycles (WWPP, LTS, Budget) by providing R&D investment inputs, analysis, and preparing leadership review materials.
    • Partners with Group FP&A and Strategy to align R&D investment data with enterprise planning calendars, milestones, and deliverables.
    • Translates bottoms-up R&D program details into financial plans, targets, and investment views to inform broader STO planning outputs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; 8+ years of financial experience.
  • Strong FP&A background with group-level exposure and senior leadership interaction.
  • Experience leading complex consolidations and cross-functional programs.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Essbase/Hyperion, Power BI, and PPM (Portfolio Project Management) tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills; ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and proactive assessment of risks and opportunities on the portfolio.
  • Ability to operate in a global, matrixed environment and navigate ambiguity.

Desired Characteristics

Pay

For U.S.-based positions, the pay range for this position is $140,000.00 - $210,000.00 annually. Compensation decisions depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
