Senior Finance Manager

About the role
The Senior Manager, Finance will support the Finance organization, Business Operations VPs, and Business Unit GM/Senior Vice President. Key activities include performing month-end close activities, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis and modeling for business development, new business model evaluation, strategic growth initiatives, and M&A model development and integration.
Responsibilities
- Develops, maintains, reviews, and presents comprehensive and summarized reporting packages to monitor performance.
- Manages complex accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting functions and processes.
- Increases productivity by developing automated applications, eliminating duplications, coordinating information requirements, and sharing best practices.
- Works with General Ledger and other Shared Services teams on internal and external controls, balance sheet analysis, etc.
- Supports the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting process with input from Finance, Category Management, Executive Management, and Operations.
- Ensures alignment with corporate standards in accounting, reporting, internal policies and procedures, including external regulations and SOX requirements.
- Performs financial analysis to determine present and future financial performance for new business models and partner agreements.
- Works on complex problems and develops business cases requiring in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Leads cost optimization initiatives and evaluates returns of automation projects.
- Develops successful business partnerships with Business Unit Leadership and key partners by setting short and long-term financial and operating targets.
- Determines financial position by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results.
- Provides information to Finance and Business Unit organizations by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, and making presentations of findings, analysis, and recommendations.
- Participates and contributes to systems development and enhancements projects for both Finance and the business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Business Management or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years’ experience in financial modeling, business case development, or accounting/financial analysis.
- Self-motivated leader with intellectual curiosity, eager to learn and grow.
- Team player able to collaborate with people within and outside the Finance department.
- Extremely strong analytic, problem-solving, and modeling skills.
- Understanding of business priorities and the ability to drive business outcomes.
- Proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint, and data analysis tools such as SAP, Essbase, SQL, and MS Access.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
