Senior Finance Manager Compensation Finance

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager - Compensation Finance to lead headcount and compensation planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis for a large domestic media and entertainment organization. The position is based in New York, NY 10036, onsite, with a duration of 9 months (extension/conversion based on performance).

Responsibilities

• Own financial planning and forecasting for headcount and compensation expenses across 1,000+ employees.
• Manage monthly/quarterly close, forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning activities.
• Analyze salaries, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation-related expenses.
• Partner closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to align workforce changes with financial plans.
• Provide leadership with actionable insights on workforce costs, trends, and variances.
• Ensure accuracy of headcount and compensation reporting and financial data.
• Represent Finance on initiatives involving workforce planning, compensation reporting, and analytics.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, and Accounting.
• 6-8+ years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting, or accounting.
• Strong experience with headcount/workforce and compensation financial planning.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience partnering with HR and senior business leaders.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and general accounting principles.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred: Experience in Media & Entertainment.
• Preferred: Experience with Fusion, Longview, or SAP.
• Preferred: Demonstrated experience driving process improvements and acting as a strategic finance business partner.

Pay

Pay Range: ($55 - $58) on an hourly basis

Schedule

Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM
