About the role
You'll deliver strategic, insight-driven business partnering to senior stakeholders, including the Finance Director and Lords Management Board. This is a key role where you'll provide expert financial advice, challenge decision-making, and help shape projects and programmes to ensure value for money.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships across Parliament, leading on financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Play a vital role in business case development and investment decisions aligned to strategic priorities.
- Lead and develop a small team, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.
- Influence decision-making while contributing to the effective stewardship of public funds.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent).
- Finance expertise and technical capability.
- Advanced IT skills, including extensive use of financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Relationship management and influencing.
- Experience of working collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external partners, including auditors.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-finance audiences.
- Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.
