About the role

You'll deliver strategic, insight-driven business partnering to senior stakeholders, including the Finance Director and Lords Management Board. This is a key role where you'll provide expert financial advice, challenge decision-making, and help shape projects and programmes to ensure value for money.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships across Parliament, leading on financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Play a vital role in business case development and investment decisions aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Lead and develop a small team, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.
  • Influence decision-making while contributing to the effective stewardship of public funds.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent).
  • Finance expertise and technical capability.
  • Advanced IT skills, including extensive use of financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Relationship management and influencing.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external partners, including auditors.
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-finance audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.
  • Leadership and people development.
