Information TechnologyFull-time

At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. Operations is at the heart of what we do, delivering millions of packages each day and fulfilling customer orders from all over the world. We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to help lead and oversee critical functions for the Under The Roof (UTR) Execution team as part of Rural/Super Rural (RSR)—our rapidly expanding internal delivery operation, purposely built to achieve and exceed the delivery quality and speed demands of Amazon customers.

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst for the UTR Execution team will play a key role in influencing initiatives that drive efficiency for RSR operations, both from a tactical and strategic perspective. This role will directly support cost champions, drive initiatives that add value to delivery speed, and create technical parity with AMZL to help 130+ delivery stations nationwide. If you enjoy solving problems, leveraging data, and providing thought leadership in an ambiguous environment where you get to help write the playbook, this may be the role for you.

The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail, unlimited curiosity, and a strong passion for continuous improvement. This role requires extensive cross-functional partnership with various operations, supply chain, finance, and other support teams to identify and address cost opportunities across the network. This individual will contribute to month-end close, cost business reviews, network scale initiatives, and ad-hoc analysis.

  • Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability.
  • Create a “learn by doing” environment by engaging with on-the-floor associates and managers to promote and encourage continued customer focus.
  • Partner with your team to develop weekly and monthly financial close activities, planning, forecasting, and reporting models while overseeing their continuous innovation and communication to operations and other business partners.
  • Ensure timely and accurate metrics and forecasts are created and maintained.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
  • 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
  • 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
  • 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
  • MBA or CPA.
  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Pay

USA, TN, Nashville - $60,200.00 - $105,400.00 USD annually.

Benefits
