Senior Field Service Technician

Role: Field Service Technician Responsibilities: Perform start-up, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of low- and medium-voltage power systems including switchgear and automatic transfer switches. Diagnose and resolve issues involving electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards. Lead complex projects such as system upgrades and modernization, and collaborate with teams and customers to deliver exceptional service. Develop maintenance programs, support technical training, and maintain documentation. Provide technical support through troubleshooting and diagnostics, ensuring system performance prior to customer handoff. Qualifications & Skills: Over 10 years of hands-on experience with power distribution and control equipment, including installation, maintenance, and repair. Familiarity with electrical codes like CSA, NFPA, UL. Proficient in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Strong customer service orientation and ability to travel up to 75%. Preferred certifications include NETA or NICET, OSHA 30-Hour, and advanced electrical knowledge such as PLCs and relays. Technical expertise in switchgear, ATS, generators, and control systems is essential. Key Duties: Execute field service activities, support commissioning and upgrades, troubleshoot complex electrical systems, maintain relationships with customers, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Provide technical guidance and support to customers and internal teams.
