Senior Field Service Technician

About the role
You will report to the Manager, Field Service and be responsible for performance maintenance and setup work on all Bevcorp products, including but not limited to Capping, Filling, Seaming, and Blending machinery.
Responsibilities
- Apply working knowledge and experience in your discipline while continuing to build knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers.
- Perform mainly straightforward or structured assignments to develop competence.
- Use prescribed guidelines or existing procedures to analyze and resolve routine or standard problems.
- Work under supervision, receiving moderate guidance from more senior roles.
- Prepare detailed schematics and working engineering drawings of electrical devices and systems.
- Conduct electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic design; peripheral device programming; machine PLC programming.
- Coordinate machine debug, power-up, and validation with build and electrical teams; provide customer documentation as needed.
- Travel to installation sites for installs and runoffs with customers when applicable.
- Exhibit a continual commitment to safety: understand risks, keep up on safety training, report/document incidents as required.
- Support the Technical Writer for catalog/manual development.
- Interact professionally with company personnel, customers, and vendors.
- Generate bills of materials from specifications and drawings.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop solutions for customers.
- Integrate Bevcorp equipment with existing machinery in the field.
- Provide troubleshooting support for existing machinery in the field.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience with Allen Bradley and AutoCAD Electrical.
- BSEE or BSEET preferred but not required in lieu of experience.
- Packaging or food & beverage experience preferred.
- PLC Programming in the Allen Bradley environment (RSLogix5, RSLogix500, RSLogix5000, Studio 5000, CCW).
- HMI Programming in the Allen Bradley environment (FTview).
- Electrical schematic drafting in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Electrical circuit troubleshooting.
- Customer relations and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of electrical design concepts and processes, components, circuits, and power distribution.
- Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA-79, and UL-508.
Travel & Location
This is a remote position based in the Southeastern-Mid Atlantic US. The role requires up to 70% domestic and international travel.
