Senior Field Service Technician Location: RemoteEngagement: ContractCompensation: $60–$110 USD per hour About the opportunity AceSuited Recruit is sharing a remote contract opportunity for experienced field service technicians to contribute their technical expertise to an AI development project. You’ll apply your troubleshooting and equipment maintenance knowledge to help train next-generation AI systems through technical analysis, diagnostic reasoning and clear documentation. No previous AI experience is required. Scope of work • Review electrical schematics and hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams to assess equipment operation and identify potential faults.• Diagnose equipment faults and performance issues using technical documentation across industrial, HVAC, elevator, heavy equipment, marine, rail, utility or telecom systems.• Analyse PLC logic and industrial controls to identify root causes and recommend evidence-based solutions.• Write detailed reports explaining troubleshooting methods, findings and corrective actions for use in AI training.• Evaluate compliance with relevant US codes, including NFPA 70/79, ASME A17.1 and OSHA requirements.• Explain technical concepts and diagnostic reasoning clearly to varied audiences.• Provide expert commentary on maintenance, servicing and repair strategies based on practical field experience. Preferred qualifications • 8+ years of hands-on troubleshooting experience with industrial, HVAC, elevator, hydraulic, heavy vehicle, marine, rail, utility or telecom equipment.• Advanced ability to interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and hydraulic and pneumatic layouts.• Strong familiarity with PLC programming, industrial controls and fault-finding processes.• Strong working knowledge of US safety and operational codes, including NFPA 70/79, ASME A17.1 and OSHA requirements.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex diagnostics clearly.• Ability to analyse technical information and produce expert-level insights.• Previous experience writing technical service reports or instructions is a plus.
