About the Role
Eaton’s Engineering Service & Systems Division is seeking Senior Electrical Field Service Representatives to join our teams in Kennewick, WA, and Boise, ID. This role offers a company vehicle and a guaranteed 40-hour paid week. Travel for this role is 50%, covering Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Oregon. Relocation assistance is available. The expected annual salary range is $84,000 - $123,000, based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Support customers across the power system lifecycle: startup, commissioning, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and emergencies
- Manage small projects independently and lead Field Service Representative (FSR) teams on larger projects
- Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties
- Provide recommendations for improved electrical systems
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers, team members, and partners
- Mentor less experienced technicians
- Utilize digital tools for remote work, including laptops, iPads, IR cameras, Google Glasses, MS Teams, and more

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher with a minimum of 3 years of experience testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems, or in lieu of HS diploma or GED, completion of accredited trade school and/or program completion with 7+ years of experience
- Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems
- Must be able to work in the US without corporate sponsorship now or in the future
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- Previous electrical testing experience
- Electrical or General Contractor’s License
- Professional Engineering License
- Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, analysis, and protective relays
- NICET/NETA certification
Skills
Position Success Criteria
- Successfully complete and maintain compliance with Eaton’s safety program, including the EESS Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) program
- Submit to periodic customer-required background and drug screenings
- Ability to work variable hours, including nights and weekends, and travel within the region
- Ability to drive an Eaton vehicle and obtain DOT non-CDL qualification if required
- Understanding of 3-phase power systems and low, medium, and high voltage power distribution equipment
- Physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting > 50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills
- Ability to explain technical problems and solutions
- Collaborates effectively with the team to meet project deadlines
