Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Service Engineer to travel and lead complex installations, perform expert-level diagnostics and repairs, and serve as a trusted technical advisor to our healthcare partners. This position is based in Atlanta, GA and requires significant time in the field supporting customer sites, with travel expectations subject to business needs. Initial training is expected to take place at Omega Medical Imaging headquarters in Sanford, FL. There will also be anticipated quarterly travel to headquarters for training on legacy and future products and participation in process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Customer Support & Technical ServiceTravel consistently to customer sites to install, maintain, and repair Omega systems, including electronic, mechanical, and software componentsTroubleshoot complex service issues while mitigating unnecessary return visitsEnsure timely return of critical equipment for processingTechnical Expertise & Product MasteryMaster the fundamentals of X-ray technology and associated imaging equipmentStay current on enhancements, legacy products, and future product developments through continuous learning and trainingRead, interpret, and translate a wide variety of schematics with precisionProcess Improvement and Knowledge SharingPartner with Sales, Engineering, and Technical Support teams to drive product improvements and identify new opportunitiesProvide immediate feedback on customer quality issues to improve service and product reliabilityAssist in the development and refinement of service procedures and best practicesCustomer Relationships and CommunicationBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients by resolving technical issues and training them on system operationsServe as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring service excellence and reliability in high-pressure environmentsProvide consistent communication with the Director of Field Service and service team membersOperational and Administrative DutiesComplete field service and expense reports in a timely and accurate mannerMaintain the calibration and organization of service toolsSupport departmental financial goals by maximizing scheduling efficiency and minimizing unnecessary costsRespond to after-hours customer requests in emergency situations as neededQualifications 3–5 years of field service experience required, particularly with X-ray or high-level electromechanical systemsDirect experience with imaging systems and installationsAssociate degree, military technical training, or equivalent relevant experience in electronics, medical devices, mechanical systems, or a related disciplineExpertise in wire crimping, soldering, voltage measurement, and troubleshooting fuses, relays, and potsStrong ability to read and translate complex schematicsProficiency in digital electronic circuitry, electromechanical devices, and test equipmentStrong communication skills and professional demeanorAbility to resolve technical problems effectively in high-pressure situationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfactionValid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a passport (or willingness to obtain)Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, or on short notice to meet customer needsAbility to lift at least 50 lbs. and work in both temperature-controlled environments and construction areas Why Join Omega Medical Imaging?
