Field Engineering Responsibilities
- Oversee submitting changes to SoW.
- Complete and submit redlines to engineering.
- Create internal calendar for tracking tasks and deadlines.
- Manage build-out, which involves extensive redlining due to measurements, equipment placements, and grounding/bonding.
- Check and verify fiber scope.
- Update designs given by IES customers to reflect past changes.
- Ensure copper installations comply with prints.
- Collaborate with team to configure network details if necessary.
- Configure and submit redlines for network implementation.
- Handle RFI referencing and implementation.
- Reference RFIs during redline preparation.
- Work with team to finalize redlines for QA review.
- Conduct test audits.
- Run and verify tests after project completion.
- Build schedules and prepare projects for team use.
- Start audits immediately after each post and finalize them upon retests.
- Prepare testing audit packages once all areas are audited.
- Document lessons learned.
- Update and finalize lessons learned templates with input from all engineers and QA.
- Manage warranties.
- Gather necessary information for warranty processing.
- Complete product submittals.
- Prepare initial submittal using a standard template.
- Verify Bill of Materials (BOM) with POs and obtain product sheets.
- Print and distribute labels.
- Print labels for installation teams before the build begins.
- Oversee design and detail sheets.
- Review and submit shop drawings to BIM360.
- Manage revisions, hyperlinks, and other design-related tasks.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated, positive, professional, and able to lead others.
- Proven problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to diagnose and fix equipment issues and new installations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High skill level in interpreting blueprints and project documents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
- Capable of managing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Experience in commercial low-voltage/structured cabling.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work well with others and manage driving standards.
Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 3-4 years of commercial low-voltage/structured cabling experience.
- Proven ability to define projects, create scopes, and manage tasks to completion.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance with company policies.
Pay
Min USD $42.00/Hr. Max USD $47.00/Hr.Benefits
