About the role

The Senior Clinical Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring patients and healthcare providers have access to BioMarin's therapies. They provide product education and logistical support, maintaining relationships with patients, clinics, and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Moves cases from referral to specialty pharmacy/wholesaler/clinic shipment to product start
• Counsels patients, caregivers, HCP, and clinic staff on next steps for therapy access
• Conducts ongoing education on disease and product administration
• Educates patients on product coverage and prior authorization processes
• Investigates and resolves access challenges with providers and patients
• Coordinates with nursing teams for ongoing home infusion therapy
• Reports adverse events and product complaints through medical information
• Adheres to professional standards and compliance guidelines

Qualifications

• 6+ years of pharmaceutical experience as a patient educator
• Prior sales experience preferred
• Experience managing communications with cross-functional partners
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel, minimum of 50%
