Senior Field Applications Specialist West (Chem/IA)

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer for and complete validations studies on instrumentation including, but not limited to instrument set-up, calibration, precision studies, and method comparisons
• Provide both onsite and remote phone support to customers for assay and QC related questions
• Provide onsite training for proper operation of instrumentation
• Address customer questions and concerns regarding instrument operation and assay performance, in accordance with published specifications and regulatory body requirements
• Work closely with many cross-functional teams including Tech Support, Field Service, Sales, and Customer Training

Requirements

• Associate's degree with 3+ years in laboratory/diagnostic instrumentation or another related field (Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science background or similar)
• Advanced understanding of Diagnostics or Healthcare Industry with heavy emphasis on Laboratory Regulatory environments (Standard Laboratory Practices, including Quality Control, record keeping, and regulatory requirements – CAP & CLIA)

Qualifications

• Customer (external and internal) focused mindset with the ability to be agile and problem solve independently
• Up to 80% flying and/or driving travel, which includes overnight stays
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lbs

Skills

• Previous experience in: Bachelor’s Degree (Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist related field)
