Senior Field Application Engineer - AI Factory Deployment
About the role
NVIDIA is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to join their team. This role is for a specialist in system design, networking, and leadership in the enterprise AI market. The ideal candidate will provide onsite technical support for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI computing systems, solve complex hardware and deployment issues, and establish strong technical relationships with customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite support for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI solutions.
- Solve complex hardware and deployment issues.
- Be a technical specialist on GPU and networking products, directly supporting sales account managers, and working closely with the team to deliver outstanding AI datacenter solutions.
- Establish the technical relationship with our customer's engineers, management, and architects at focus accounts.
- Identify customer architectures and key product requirements in the enterprise AI market.
- Provide technical and sales training to the direct sales team and channel partners.
- Establish positive relationships and communication channels with internal teams.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of work-related experience in the high-tech electronics industry in a system design role or technical customer support role.
- In-depth knowledge of servers, storage systems, network devices, and other data center hardware.
- Capable of working in a constantly evolving environment without losing focus.
- Able to multitask optimally in a multifaceted environment.
- Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives, priorities, and implementations of new technology and products into very sophisticated projects.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and engineering.
Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale rollouts of datacenter equipment.
- Networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, Switches, etc.
- Embedded Linux System, APIs, and similar embedded OS knowledge.
- Experience working with OEMs in the industrial, military, and ruggedized computing space.
- Knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems for thermal management, power distribution, cabling, and rack layout as well as CPU Architecture knowledge.
Benefits
The base salary for this position ranges from $132,000 USD to $207,000 USD for Level 3 and from $160,000 USD to $253,000 USD for Level 4. Additionally, you will be eligible for equity and benefits.
Pay
Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
