About the role

NVIDIA is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to join their team. This role involves providing onsite technical support for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI computing systems, working closely with sales account managers, and establishing strong relationships with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI solutions.
  • Solve complex hardware and deployment issues.
  • Be a technical specialist on GPU and networking products, directly supporting sales account managers.
  • Establish the technical relationship with our customer's engineers, management, and architects at focus accounts.
  • Identify customer architectures and key product requirements in the enterprise AI market.
  • Provide technical and sales training to the direct sales team and channel partners.
  • Establish strong relationships and communication channels with internal teams.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of work-related experience in the high-tech electronics industry in a system design role or technical customer support role.
  • In-depth knowledge of servers, storage systems, network devices, and other data center hardware.
  • Ability to work in a constantly evolving environment without losing focus.
  • Able to multitask effectively in a multifaceted environment.
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives, priorities, and implementations of new technology and products into very sophisticated projects.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and engineering.

Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale rollouts of datacenter equipment.
  • Networking knowledge -- TCP/IP, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, Switches, etc.
  • C/C++ and Python programming skills.
  • Embedded Linux System, APIs, and similar embedded OS knowledge.
  • Experience working with OEMs in the industrial, military, and ruggedized computing space.

Benefits

The base salary for this position ranges from $132,000 to $207,000 USD, depending on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Additionally, you will be eligible for equity and benefits.
