The Senior Federal Materials Manager plays a crucial role in optimizing warehouse operations, setting performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Hire and train talent to manage material flow according to Anduril Federal guidelines.
- Develop and implement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in materials management.
- Implement necessary systems to align with Anduril Federal policies on managing government property and inventory.
- Manage end-to-end material management tasks such as FIFO adherence, material variances, cycle time optimization, scrap/obsolescence management, cycle/physical counting, and audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accurate demand forecasting, procurement planning, and timely delivery of materials.
- Analyze material usage trends, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement lean practices to optimize material handling, storage, and distribution.
- Utilize ERP and WMS software systems to track inventory, generate reports, and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality control protocols in all material management activities.
- Lead and develop a high-performing warehouse team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or equivalent work experience
- 12+ years of experience in material management, inventory control, or supply chain management roles in complex engineering/manufacturing companies
- 3+ years of experience managing a lead of supervisors, associates or technicians
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
- Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local
