About the role

This role is within the Finance & Accounting Consulting team at Guidehouse. It involves performing budget execution activities such as extracting, analyzing, summarizing, and preparing data from various systems. The candidate will also manage Spend Plans, reconcile financial reports with the spend plan, track commitments, obligations, and expenditures, and build and maintain budget dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Extract, analyze, summarize, and prepare data from financial and travel systems for presentations.
  • Manage multiple Spend Plans, conduct reconciliations between financial reports and Spend Plans, and identify inconsistencies or imbalances.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide recommendations and mitigation strategies for identified issues.
  • Track commitments, obligations, and expenditures using systems like FFMS.
  • Support in building and maintaining CSD budget dashboards.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare complex financial reports and briefings.
  • Allocate and track funding across multiple subdivisions and program codes.
  • Reconcile plan funding with actual expenditures.

Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST" clearance.
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in the federal budget process, federal budget lifecycle, and federal procurement process.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Power Apps.
  • Proficiency in MS applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.

What would be nice to have

  • Strong oral and written communication skills to serve as a liaison between CSD Front Office, Subdivisions, and CFO.
  • Familiarity with federal travel and government purchase card policies.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The schedule for this role is typically full-time, with up to 10% travel required.
