Senior Family Law Paralegal
About the role
Trueline's client, a highly respected and rapidly growing boutique California family law firm, is seeking a Senior Family Law Paralegal (Mandarin Speaking) to join its fully remote team.
Responsibilities
- Support six Family Law Attorneys through all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial preparation
- Independently manage complex family law cases with minimal supervision and take ownership of day-to-day case progression
- Prepare, review, and file pleadings, declarations, financial disclosures, discovery, subpoenas, and other legal documents
- Court deadlines, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third-party experts
- Organize and analyze financial records, executive compensation, RSUs, stock options, retirement assets, business interests, and other complex marital estate documentation
- Assist attorneys with settlement conferences, mediation, and trial preparation
- Maintain organized case files while ensuring compliance with California Family Law procedures and court rules
- Deliver exceptional client service with professionalism, empathy, and discretion
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff in a fully remote, technology-driven environment
Requirements
- 7+ years of dedicated California Family Law Paralegal experience
- At least one year of full-time experience handling matters before the Santa Clara County Superior Court strongly preferred
- Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written)
- Extensive experience supporting high-net-worth family law matters
- Strong knowledge of California Family Law procedures, judicial forms, financial disclosures, and litigation deadlines
- Able to independently manage complex cases with minimal supervision
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills
- Strong computer proficiency and comfort working in a fully remote environment
- Professional maturity, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment
- Stable employment history demonstrating long-term commitment
Nice-to-Haves
- Cantonese language skills
- Trial preparation and trial support experience
- Experience handling seven- and eight-figure marital estates
- Experience with executive compensation matters, including RSUs, stock options, bonuses, and deferred compensation
- Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate
- Experience working in a boutique Family Law practice
