Senior Family Law Attorney

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload from initial intake through final resolution, overseeing complex divorce, contested custody, child support, and high-net-worth marital property disputes.
• Formulate and execute legal tactics for mediations, depositions, contested hearings, and trials.
• Prepare and review pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and formal legal documentation.
• Handle delicate matters involving domestic violence, abuse allegations, and intense parental disputes.
• Guide clients through every phase of litigation, providing realistic expectations and clear counsel.
• Partner with fellow attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to optimize case outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years practicing family law (15+ years preferred).
• Active Texas law license in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• Deep background handling Texas family law litigation, including contested evidentiary hearings and jury/bench trials.

Skills

• Excellent legal writing, analytical research, settlement negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Experience using legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Prior military service is strongly encouraged.
