Senior Facility Equipment Technician
About the role
Texas Children’s is searching for a Senior Facility Equipment Tech to join our team. This position requires someone who can work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs inspections, maintenance and repairs to lab and clean room ventilation equipment in accordance with applicable standards.
- Performs repairs and coordinates re-certifications as needed for failed equipment according to established standards and within acceptable timeframes.
- Demonstrates technical knowledge depth for hood ventilation, clean room and associated systems according to standards established by management team and AHJ.
- Ensures good rapport, effective communication, and cooperative, professional working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Plans, organizes and coordinates projects.
- Manages inventory following departmental inventory management and control parameters.
Skills & Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Three years of experience in bio-medical engineering or lab fume hood/safety cabinet service is required.
- Hospital experience is preferred.
