Senior Facility Equipment Technician

About the role

Texas Children’s is searching for a Senior Facility Equipment Tech to join our team. This position requires someone who can work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs inspections, maintenance and repairs to lab and clean room ventilation equipment in accordance with applicable standards.
• Performs repairs and coordinates re-certifications as needed for failed equipment according to established standards and within acceptable timeframes.
• Demonstrates technical knowledge depth for hood ventilation, clean room and associated systems according to standards established by management team and AHJ.
• Ensures good rapport, effective communication, and cooperative, professional working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Plans, organizes and coordinates projects.
• Manages inventory following departmental inventory management and control parameters.

Skills & Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Three years of experience in bio-medical engineering or lab fume hood/safety cabinet service is required.
• Hospital experience is preferred.
