Our client, a leader in commercial facility management, is seeking a Senior Facilities Technician to join their team in Philadelphia, PA.

About the role

As part of the maintenance department, you will support operational excellence and safety by performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility equipment and building systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of utility equipment, mechanical rooms, and monitor operational parameters via Building Automation Systems (BAS) and physical gauges.
  • Execute preventative maintenance on boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, compressors, and control valves according to established schedules.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system failures; perform repairs to restore optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers, mechanics, and contractors to optimize equipment operation and environmental controls.
  • Conduct chemical testing and water treatment for boiler, cooling tower, and closed-loop systems following safety and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Philadelphia Class A Boiler Operator License (mandatory).
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification (mandatory).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in operating and maintaining large-scale utility systems.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.

Pay

$32 to $35 per hour.
