About the role
This role is for a Senior Facilities Manager, Reliability based in Redmond, WA. The position plays a key role in enhancing the reliability, continuous improvement, and equipment availability of JPOD and JPLANT manufacturing and support equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance Coordination: Schedule and document maintenance related services for manufacturing equipment activities, including facilities and utilities.
- Operational Efficiency: Actively partner and communicate with key internal/external stakeholders to develop a maintenance strategy and definition of facilities maintenance activities within the manufacturing, QC, PD and utilities and facilities areas.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for facilities and utilities reliability centered maintenance for control systems; including support to predictive maintenance to main electrical distribution systems and life safety systems to ensure full compliance with the good facilities management guidelines and regulations.
- Develop maintenance strategies, plans, SOPs, parts lists, BOMs, and frequency schedules for new and modified equipment.
- Collaborate with safety, quality engineering, and manufacturing teams to perform equipment assessments.
- Review, improve, and update maintenance SOPs, parts lists, BOMs, and ensure CMMS data integrity for existing equipment.
- Analyze CMMS data to identify trends and prioritize areas for improvement.
- Conduct functional equivalency assessments for spare parts.
- Support or lead equipment troubleshooting efforts in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and facilities maintenance team.
- Lead and facilitate Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Drive Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) improvement initiatives within assigned areas.
- Serve as the Reliability Engineering subject matter expert (SME) during audits.
- Lead the implementation of predictive maintenance technologies to enhance equipment uptime.
- Participate in technical reviews for equipment design projects.
- Contribute to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and commissioning of new or modified equipment as needed.
- Identify and lead cost, waste, and energy reduction opportunities.
- Lead carbon footprint reduction initiatives.
- Manage assigned tasks related to change control, Quality CAPAs, and Safety CAPAs.
- Track, maintain, and publish maintenance performance metrics/statistics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years plus of experience in pharmaceutical facilities maintenance management and 5 years plus of direct or indirect leadership experience preferred
- Proficient in the use and administration of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills. Able to effectively lead cross-functional meetings and effectively engage management
- Strong Facilities Management background of GMP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing operations
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft office
- Proactively looks for opportunities to educate group and external departments
- Able to influence within the organization and provide leadership to the team
- Able to multi-task in a highly dynamic and diverse environment
- Must be knowledgeable with respect to the operation and maintenance of the manufacturing facilities
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of manufacturing equipment and utilities process, using P&Id’s, equipment manuals, specifications, and standard operating procedures
- Use proper judgment when deciding about the scope of work for any corrective work order
- Possess good mechanical knowledge and skills
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize maintenance related issues with managers, manufacturing, Facilities and Engineering, QC, supply chain, CMMS, cleaning, and QA personnel
Benefits
- Base pay range: $92,400 to $126,500 at commencement of employment
