What this job involves
As a Senior Facilities Manager at JLL, you'll take ownership of comprehensive facilities operations for a complex portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring exceptional service delivery that directly impacts our clients' business success. In this strategic leadership role, you'll orchestrate day-to-day building operations while developing long-term facilities strategies that align with client objectives and industry best practices. This is a mission-critical position supporting 24/7 operations where uptime and reliability are paramount. You'll lead a team of facilities professionals, manage vendor relationships, and serve as the primary point of contact for all facilities-related matters.

Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive facilities management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing complex commercial properties
- Demonstrated expertise in building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems
- Experience with specialized systems such as laboratory HVAC (100% outside air, variable volume fume hoods, differential pressure control), cleanroom environments, chemical storage and handling, gas detection systems, or high-density computing infrastructure
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar budgets and delivering measurable cost savings while maintaining service excellence
- Experience managing Class A office buildings, corporate headquarters, corporate campuses, or multi-site portfolios exceeding 500,000 square feet
- Strong leadership and people management skills with experience hiring, training, developing, and retaining high-performing teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations and manage incident response with clear escalation protocols
- Excellent client relationship management abilities with a service-oriented mindset and strong communication skills across all organizational levels
- Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing commercial property operations, safety, and environmental compliance
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), MS Office Suite, and facilities management software platforms
- Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships for specialized equipment including UPS maintenance, generator servicing, precision cooling, fire suppression testing, and critical infrastructure contractors
Preferred qualifications
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master's in Facilities Management, or Engineering) or relevant professional certifications such as CFM, FMP, LEED AP, or PEMinimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience managing mission-critical 24/7 facilities such as data centers, research and development laboratories, life sciences facilities, cleanrooms, or other environments requiring continuous uptime
- Background in sustainability initiatives, energy management programs, and green building operations with demonstrated results
- Experience implementing innovative technologies such as IoT sensors, smart building platforms, or predictive maintenance solutions
- Previous experience working in a corporate real estate services or third-party facilities management environment
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making, performance metrics development, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with root cause analysis methodologies, incident management frameworks (ITIL), and continuous improvement programs (Six Sigma, Lean) applied to critical facilities operations
- Experience managing facilities supporting regulated industries including pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology research, semiconductor fabrication, or financial services trading floors
