Streamline Defense is seeking a Senior Exploitation Specialist / Data Scientist to support a NGA USSOCOM geospatial intelligence mission at Sneads Ferry, NC (1st shift).
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging Python and other tools to design, develop, and integrate mission-ready solutions that process and analyze complex data sets. This includes querying web APIs, creating interactive visualizations, and building analytical interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Python scripts to query and integrate web APIs for data retrieval and normalization.
- Create and maintain interactive data visualizations using Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib, Bokeh, or similar tools.
- Develop and deploy dashboards and analytic interfaces using Dash, Streamlit, Panel, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Query relational databases using strong SQL skills.
- Utilize Git-based version control platforms like GitLab or GitHub for code management.
- Apply geospatial processing frameworks such as GDAL or ArcPy and GIS software like ArcGIS Pro or QGIS to process and visualize geospatial data.
- Write clear, concise technical documentation to support project deliverables.
- Operate independently at a senior level with limited oversight.
- Show familiarity with USSOCOM and broader U.S. military organizational structures, as well as common Intelligence Community (IC) data repositories.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Senior-level proficiency in Python with experience designing mission-ready solutions.
- Experience querying and integrating web APIs through Python.
- Experience developing interactive data visualizations and building dashboards and analytic interfaces.
- Strong SQL skills and experience querying relational databases.
- Experience using Git-based version control platforms.
- Proficiency with geospatial processing frameworks and GIS desktop software.
- Ability to write clear, concise technical documentation.
- Experience operating independently at a senior level with limited oversight.
- Familiarity with USSOCOM and broader U.S. military organizational structures.
- Familiarity with common Intelligence Community (IC) data repositories.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Geospatial Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
