Senior Event Technician

Responsibilities

• Use technical expertise and creative innovation to contribute to the overall technical strategy of live events based on the creative vision and unique event scope.
• Utilize deep knowledge of video equipment and technology to ensure flawless operation of all video equipment and make real-time adjustments as needed to ensure quality control.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize the operational setup of the production control room and oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of all aspects of the client’s production facilities and control rooms.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in live event production, event coordination, broadcast, and video production, or another similar field.
• 1+ years of experience in: onsite, virtual, and hybrid live events, database and scheduling management, studio production and event experience.
• Experience with control room equipment including video switchers, audio consoles, robotic cameras, and video playback software.
• Knowledge of virtual production and meeting platforms.
• A keen eye for detail with a knowledge of what creatively works well for broadcast production.
• Organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work well in a team atmosphere, as well as having the capability to work well individually.
• Ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude during high pressure situations.
• Strong work ethic, self-direction, self-motivation, patience, persistence, and perspective.
• Excellent collaboration and customer relationship skills with the understanding of the importance of white glove service.
• Ability to work independently and be self-reliant in the execution of daily responsibilities.
• Ability to communicate challenging aspects to clients while maintaining a high level of confidence and leadership.
• Proactive preparation and timely responses to multiple channels of communication.

Qualifications

• College degree in video production, broadcasting, communications, or similar field.

Other Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Travel is required based on requirements and location of productions and service needs including meetings at client offices and AVI-SPL VideoLink offices.
