About the role
Barclays Services Corp. seeks Senior ETL Developer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available).
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, maintain and support ETL applications for the Market Surveillance Area.
- Responsible for code development and modification in surveillance projects.
- Build and improve data pipelines, coverage, SLA and reduce the cost of Surveillance.
- Oversee project document management of ETL technical system specifications, processes flows, unit tests and results.
- Create and tune complex stored procedures and queries for data management and extraction.
- Collaborate with the developers across the globe on projects, releases, and production support/issues by working closely with run the bank (RTB) on investigation and analysis related tasks.
- Develop Surveillance components in Informatica Power Centre, SQL, and Shell scripts.
- Follow TDD/BDD approach to ensure scenario coverage.
- Deploy and test developed components on lower environments and prepare production.
Requirements
Minimum Salary: $189,592 per year
Maximum Salary: $208,552 per year
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in ETL development and/or data warehousing.
- Experience with Informatica Power Center, SQL, and Shell scripting.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data transformation, and data quality principles.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
Skills
- Proficient in ETL tools such as Informatica Power Center, Talend, or similar.
- Strong SQL skills, including advanced querying and optimization techniques.
- Experience with data modeling and data architecture.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
