About the role

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Senior ETL Developer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, maintain and support ETL applications for the Market Surveillance Area.
  • Responsible for code development and modification in surveillance projects.
  • Build and improve data pipelines, coverage, SLA and reduce the cost of Surveillance.
  • Oversee project document management of ETL technical system specifications, processes flows, unit tests and results.
  • Create and tune complex stored procedures and queries for data management and extraction.
  • Collaborate with the developers across the globe on projects, releases, and production support/issues by working closely with run the bank (RTB) on investigation and analysis related tasks.
  • Develop Surveillance components in Informatica Power Centre, SQL, and Shell scripts.
  • Follow TDD/BDD approach to ensure scenario coverage.
  • Deploy and test developed components on lower environments and prepare production.

Requirements

Minimum Salary: $189,592 per year
Maximum Salary: $208,552 per year

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in ETL development and/or data warehousing.
  • Experience with Informatica Power Center, SQL, and Shell scripting.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data transformation, and data quality principles.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.

Skills

  • Proficient in ETL tools such as Informatica Power Center, Talend, or similar.
  • Strong SQL skills, including advanced querying and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with data modeling and data architecture.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
