About the role

Skanska is searching for a dynamic Senior Estimator to scrutinize incoming inquiries, evaluate all technical issues, prepare cost estimates for the execution of works, submit proposals to clients, and negotiate terms and conditions through contract award. The Senior Estimator will directly organize and manage a diverse multi-disciplined team of Estimators and support staff, estimate self-perform work and project indirect costs, review cost estimates prepared by team members, and manage Skanska’s risk.

The Senior Estimator may also serve as the Sponsor of a particular pursuit if the value requires it. This role requires a self-starter who can work efficiently, meet critical deadlines, and lead as part of a greater team.

Responsibilities

  • Scrutinize incoming inquiries and evaluate technical issues.
  • Prepare estimates of costs for executing construction works.
  • Submit proposals to clients and negotiate terms and conditions.
  • Organize and manage a multi-disciplined team of Estimators and support staff.
  • Estimate costs of self-perform work and project indirect costs.
  • Review cost estimates prepared by team members.
  • Manage Skanska’s risk on projects.
  • Serve as Sponsor for high-value pursuits when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar technical training.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience; 10–15 years preferred.
  • Mastery-level knowledge of job area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Deep knowledge of project management and construction means, methods, costs, and engineering principles.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and work efficiently as part of a team.

Pay

Salary range: USD $159,735.00 – $175,000.00 per year.
