Senior Estimator- Commercial Construction
for section headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We must not repeat job title. No Job ID etc. Remove boilerplate. Preserve all substantive info.
We need to parse the posting.
Overview: "Are you looking for a highly rewarding opportunity that provides extensive career growth opportunity? Gilbane is seeking a Senior Estimator who serves as lead estimator and structural estimating subject matter expert for an entire project in coordination with the Estimating Manager." That's about the role.
Then "Who are we?" description of company.
Then "Who are you?" describing candidate traits.
Then "What’s in it for you?" describing responsibilities? Actually that section includes supervising team, training, etc. Might be part of responsibilities.
Then "Responsibilities" list.
Then "KEY COMPETENCIES" list.
Then "Experience/Education Qualifications" includes Bachelor's degree etc.
Then "Knowledge, Skills & Abilities" list.
Then salary info: "Salary to be determined based on factors... For New York City, NY this ranges from $150,000.00-$175,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program." Also for Albany, NY range.
Then benefits: "Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan. We invest in our employees’ education and have built Gilbane University into a top training organization in the construction industry."
Also mention pre-employment substance abuse test, EEO etc which we should drop as boilerplate.
We need sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule.
We need to decide what goes where.
About the role: overview description of role and company maybe.
Responsibilities: the list under "Responsibilities" heading.
Requirements: maybe the "Who are you?" traits? Or maybe "Experience/Education Qualifications" is qualifications. Requirements could be experience/education.
Qualifications: maybe the "KEY COMPETENCIES"? Actually competencies could be skills.
Skills: maybe the "Knowledge, Skills & Abilities" list.
Benefits: the paragraph about health, welfare, profit-sharing, Gilbane University.
Pay: the salary ranges for NYC and Albany.
Schedule: not mentioned, so we should not include Schedule section.
We must not create sections with filler. So omit Schedule.
Also we must not include headings with no content.
We need to use for each section heading.
Inside sections, use
for prose,
- for lists.
We must preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail.
We need to include all substantive info from the posting, except boilerplate.
Let's extract substantive content.
First, About the role: combine overview and who we are and who you are? The "About the role" could include the overview description of the role and company description and candidate traits? But we need to avoid duplication.
Better: About the role: include the overview paragraph: "Are you looking for a highly rewarding opportunity that provides extensive career growth opportunity? Gilbane is seeking a Senior Estimator who serves as lead estimator and structural estimating subject matter expert for an entire project in coordination with the Estimating Manager." plus maybe "Who are we?" description: "As a Top-10 ENR Contractor, Gilbane is a family-owned business with 45 offices that has been shaping communities since 1870. Consistently recognized as one of the most reputable construction management firms in the country, Gilbane is committed to delivering projects safely and on-time. You will have the opportunity to build schools, labs, hospitals, corporate offices, sports arenas and more! We are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles." Also "Who are you?" describing traits: "You are someone who acts inclusively, showing empathy and treating others with respect and dignity in order to uphold Gilbane’s core value of Caring and “People First” workplace culture. You seek to listen in order to understand and can convey information clearly. You’re a strong problem solver who can identify, prioritize, and implement alternatives for solutions, and you demonstrate adaptability by collaborating with others and supporting team members to achieve excellence. A self-starter who shows passion, commitment, and ownership all while delivering on business outcomes and driving results. You’re someone who identifies opportunities for new and improved ways of doing things that result in value-add solutions. Your core values match Gilbane’s: Integrity, Caring, Teamwork, Toughmindedness, Dedication to Excellence, Discipline, Loyalty, and Entrepreneurship."
That seems substantive.
Responsibilities: the list under "Responsibilities" heading. Let's capture each bullet.

We need to keep all.
Requirements: maybe the "Experience/Education Qualifications" section: Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Construction Management; 5-10+ years relevant experience in budgeting/estimating ground-up, core & shell, and large-scale renovation of residential, commercial, hospitality and mixed-use projects.
Also maybe "Who are you?" traits could be considered requirements but we already used them in About the role. Could also put them under Requirements? But we need to avoid duplication. The instruction: preserve ALL substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. We can place the "Who are you?" traits under About the role as we did. Then Requirements can be the experience/education.
Qualifications: maybe the "KEY COMPETENCIES" list? Or we could treat KEY COMPETENCIES as Skills. But we have separate Skills section for Knowledge, Skills & Abilities. So Qualifications could be the KEY COMPETENCIES? Actually KEY COMPETENCIES are like soft skills: Communicate Effectively, Act Inclusively, Solve Problems, Demonstrate Agility/Adaptability, Drive for Results, Champion Innovation. Those could be considered Qualifications or Skills. But we already have Skills section for Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (technical). So we can put KEY COMPETENCIES under Qualifications (or maybe under Skills). Let's decide: Qualifications: KEY COMPETENCIES list. Skills: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities list.
Benefits: paragraph about health and welfare benefits, profit-sharing/401k, Gilbane University.
Pay: salary ranges for NYC and Albany.
Schedule: none, omit.
We must not include boilerplate like EEO, substance abuse test, recruiter note, physical demands link, etc.
Now produce HTML.
