Description
Prepare detailed cost estimates for CMAR and negotiated construction projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to review project requirements and specifications.
Analyze and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documents to determine material, labor, and equipment needs.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable services.
Lead pre-construction efforts, including budgeting, value engineering, and risk assessment.
Present estimates and proposals to clients, providing clear justifications and addressing inquiries as needed.
Monitor market trends and industry developments to ensure estimates align with current costs and practices.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating tools, templates, and processes.
Profile
- Proficiency in CMAR and negotiated contracting methods.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and market pricing in sectors like K-12, municipal, higher education, and healthcare.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accurate cost estimates.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Experience with estimating software and tools to streamline workflows.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
