Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of detailed, comprehensive cost estimates across multiple project phases, including planning, design, and construction.
- Collaborate with technical, professional, and executive stakeholders—including designers, engineers, consultants, and contractors—to establish accurate and defensible cost models.
- Oversee quantity take-offs, cost analyses, and pricing assumptions based on drawings, specifications, and evolving design documents.
- Review, evaluate, and validate cost estimates prepared by external consultants; provide recommendations regarding accuracy, risk, and constructability.
- Support cost negotiations and provide estimating expertise during procurement and contract discussions.
- Plan, assign, and review the work of estimating staff and provide technical guidance and mentorship as needed.
- Analyze scope changes and support change order pricing and cost impacts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 12+ years of progressive estimating experience on large-scale infrastructure or complex capital programs.
- At least 5 years of hands-on estimating experience in one or more of the following disciplines: architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls, or systems integration.
- Proven experience developing detailed estimates in collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience working in active facilities or secure environments (e.g., airports, transit, critical infrastructure) is strongly preferred.
- Experience with estimating software such as, Sage Estimating (Timberline), eTakeoff, HCSS Heavybid, On Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam.
Pay
Compensation Range: $130,962.60 - $149,671.54
