About the Role
Power your future with Qualus in our Project Management Organization as a Senior Estimator supporting Transmission and Distribution projects.
Responsibilities
- Estimate projects in accordance with policies and procedures with oversight while learning estimating practices and processes.
- Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Attend customer pre-bid meetings.
- Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Prepare complete labor and material cost estimates.
- Coordinate with project management.
- Prepare bills of material and other information for use by purchasing.
- Determine constructability requirements via field walk-downs with customer, subcontractor, and construction personnel.
Extensive electrical utility experience required (overhead transmission, substation, and/or foundations/civil).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
- 7+ years of tangible experience in the high voltage estimating space.
- InEight cost estimating tool experience preferred.
