Senior Estimator

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Estimator with strong construction estimating experience. The ideal candidate will handle estimates from takeoff through bid submission and help the company win profitable projects. This role also offers a growth path into Preconstruction Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Handle estimates from takeoff through bid submission
• Perform quantity takeoffs, pricing, cost analysis, and bid preparation
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers
• Analyze labor, materials, equipment, production costs, and project risks
• Independently manage estimates from takeoff to final bid

Requirements

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience
• Experience with Heavy Civil, Concrete, Utilities, Earthwork, Foundations, Industrial, Commercial, or Municipal projects
• Experience estimating projects ranging from $200K–$7M
• Strong experience with HCSS HeavyBid or similar estimating software
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Must be willing to work on-site in McPherson, Kansas
• Ability to work approximately 45–50 hours/week

Preferred Qualifications

• HeavyBid experience
• Preconstruction or Design-Build experience
• Industrial/municipal construction experience
• ERP experience such as Acumatica
• Estimating team leadership or mentoring experience
