Senior Estimator

About the role

Nevell Group, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our Preconstruction Team in Concord, CA. This position plays a key role in the success of our estimating efforts, responsible for developing accurate and competitive estimates for large-scale commercial wall system projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed estimates for interior and exterior wall system projects
• Interpret and analyze plans, specifications, and contract documents to define project scope
• Develop quantity take-offs, pricing strategies, and bid proposals
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients during preconstruction
• Analyze historical cost data and market conditions to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
• Manage bid schedules, subcontractor outreach, and vendor coordination
• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and constructability considerations
• Mentor and develop junior estimators within the team

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• 7+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating, preferably in wall systems (drywall, framing, plaster, etc.)

Technical Skills & Software

• Proficient in On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam, and other estimating or accounting software
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with scheduling software is a plus
