Senior Estimator

About the role

Fisk Electric, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Senior Estimator for its Los Angeles, CA office. The position is responsible for providing estimates, quantity takeoffs, and proposal documentation, working closely with Estimators and Project Managers.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand contract specifications, documents & drawings to perform takeoffs accurately
• Perform plan measurements to develop and/or verify quantity estimates
• Research for and interface with vendors and subcontractors for proposals
• Update labor rates
• Stay apprised of industry standard software including researching and reviewing new technologies to expedite the takeoff process
• Communicate with Engineering Consultants and Designers to coordinate information digitally to complete takeoffs
• Occasional project site visits and pre-bid meeting attendance
• Assist with other estimating duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree desired (Electrical / Mechanical Engineers, Construction Management, or related field); High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in construction industry preferred
