Why This Opportunity Stands Out Executive-level visibility and influenceStrong pipeline of healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, and commercial workOpportunity to shape estimating processes and preconstruction strategyCollaborative leadership team that values your expertiseStable company with an outstanding reputation and repeat clientsCompetitive compensation package, bonus potential, comprehensive benefits, and generous PTOClear path for long-term advancement and leadership growth What You'll Do Lead the estimating and preconstruction process from concept through contract awardReview drawings, specifications, and bid packages to develop accurate project budgets and estimatesManage quantity takeoffs and pricing across all CSI divisionsDevelop conceptual, schematic, budgetary, GMP, and hard-bid estimatesSolicit, level, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricingAnalyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs to maximize competitiveness and profitabilityIdentify project risks, opportunities, logistics challenges, and constructability concernsLead pre-bid meetings, site visits, and scope-review discussionsPartner with operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from preconstruction to project executionSupport value engineering efforts and alternative pricing strategiesMaintain historical cost databases and stay ahead of market trends and pricing conditionsMentor and support junior estimators while helping drive continuous improvement within the department What We're Looking For 10+ years of commercial construction estimating experienceProven success estimating healthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, laboratory, cleanroom, manufacturing, or large commercial projectsStrong leadership and team collaboration skillsDeep understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and cost driversAbility to develop estimates from conceptual design through final construction documentsProficiency with Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, On-Screen Takeoff, ProEst, or comparable estimating softwareExcellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Preferred Experience Healthcare renovations, biotech facilities, laboratories, GMP-regulated spaces, or mission-critical environmentsStrong knowledge of MEP systems and complex building infrastructureDesign-Build, CMAR, and negotiated project delivery methodsExperience with Procore, Sage, Microsoft Project, and other construction management platformsLEED, PMP, DBIA, or similar industry certifications Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Brookfield, CT. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $200000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
