About the role

The Grimaldi Law Firm, located in Hollywood, Florida, seeks an experienced (5+ years) estate planning attorney. We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $160,000, based on experience and fit.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients, from initial handoff to case closure.
  • Help clients and the firm achieve their goals through legal and personal advice.
  • Supervise estate administration paralegals in preparing probate and estate administration petitions.
  • Guide and advise fiduciaries through estate and trust administration.
  • Delegate tasks to and review the work of paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Discuss estate planning with clients, analyze their needs, and create strategic plans.
  • Draft wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and paralegals to move files through the estate administration process.
  • Represent clients in court regarding estate matters.
  • Oversee and analyze discovery, monitor caseload, and move cases forward.
  • Design and deploy policies, procedures, and systems to run the business efficiently.
  • Network and present to clients, attorneys, financial professionals, and potential clients.
  • Keep CLEs and law licenses up-to-date.
  • Develop relationships with the community and its leaders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of estate planning experience, including taxable estate planning.
  • Good with basic technology, including Windows 10 or 11 and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Experience with Clio and Google Workspace is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent references required.
  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in stressful and emotional situations.
  • Moderate book on portable business is a plus.
