Remote, USA | Full-time temporary role (estimated 2-month duration) | $200/hour

About The Role

We are expanding our Finance Knowledge & Expert Program (KEP) and seeking experienced finance professionals to evaluate, refine, and shape advanced financial intelligence workflows. In this role, you will leverage your deep domain expertise to critique complex financial analyses, benchmark quality against real-world institutional standards, and bridge the gap between technical data outputs and actionable market insights.

Open positions:

  • Sell-Side Equity Research Analysts (2x Positions)
  • Buy-Side Analysts / Portfolio Managers (2x Positions)
  • CPAs / CFA Charterholders – Financial Accounting & Reporting (2x Positions)
  • Quantitative Researchers (2x Positions)

Responsibilities

By Specialization

  • Sell-Side Equity Research Specialists:
    • Evaluate earnings filing Q&As, investment thesis memos, and coverage initiation reports to enforce institutional standards over generic fluff.
    • Review public buy/sell/hold rating logic, price target models, and risk factors for institutional rigor.
  • Buy-Side Analysts & Portfolio Managers:
    • Review deep-dive fundamental analyses, detecting variance and subtle shifts across sequential 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and alternative data sources.
    • Evaluate the consolidation of fragmented market research into high-conviction position sizing and portfolio theses.
  • Accounting & Financial Reporting Experts (CPA / CFA):
    • Audit complex adjustments between GAAP and non-GAAP metrics, LTM/NTM normalizations, and intricate diluted share counts (e.g., option pools, convertible debt).
    • Detect structural accounting anomalies, aggressive revenue recognition, and balance sheet red flags.
  • Quantitative Researchers:
    • Validate end-to-end quantitative research pipelines: hypothesis generation, point-in-time (PIT) data integrity, signal backtesting, and risk factor decomposition.
    • Benchmark systematic trading strategies against realistic execution slippage and look-ahead bias constraints.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Quantitative Finance, or a closely related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience on the buy-side, sell-side, quantitative hedge fund, or mutual fund.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize financial filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, transcripts) into actionable insights (5+ years).
  • Direct experience with financial modeling, valuation, or signal generation pipelines.
  • Strong critical thinking to distinguish high-signal analysis from surface-level commentary.

Qualifications

  • CFA charterholder or licensed CPA strongly preferred for fundamental and accounting tracks.

  • Analysis
  • GAAP
  • QA
