Senior Environmental Specialist / Project Manager – Industrial Pretreatment Programs

Key Responsibilities
- Manage municipal and industrial pretreatment program projects from proposal through completion.
- Prepare and review industrial discharge permits and permit modifications.
- Carry out Significant Industrial User (SIU) inspections and compliance evaluations.
- Interpret and apply federal, state, and local pretreatment regulations.
- Develop permitting strategies and compliance plans for industrial clients.
- Support POTW pretreatment program implementation and optimization.
- Review industrial wastewater treatment operations and monitoring programs.
- Prepare technical reports, compliance assessments, and regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, municipal officials, and industrial facilities.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
- Support proposal development and business growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Required: 8-15 years of experience in environmental consulting, wastewater compliance, or pretreatment program management.
- Preferred: Experience with local limits development.
- Preferred: Experience supporting POTW program audits.
- Preferred: Existing relationships with municipal or industrial clients in New England.
- Preferred: Business development and proposal-writing experience.
