Senior Environmental Professional

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Environmental Professional to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space. This role will oversee air permitting projects and environmental deliverables for a diverse client base, with a strong focus on technical accuracy, client service, and project execution. The position requires close collaboration with junior team members and technicians while ensuring budgets, timelines, and reporting standards are met. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in air quality permitting, particularly in California, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $120,000 – $130,000 annually Responsibilities Plan and manage multiple air permitting projects simultaneously Supervise and assign work to junior professionals and technicians Monitor progress and ensure accuracy in team deliverables Develop technical reports and graphical presentations Consult with clients to prepare comprehensive plans and reports Evaluate and adapt standard techniques for specific project needs Manage project budgets and timelines effectively Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience 10-15 years of experience in the field Direct experience in project, client, and program management Air quality permitting experience, specifically in California Certifications such as SCAQMD Certified Permitting Professional are preferred Team leadership experience supervising junior staff and technicians Benefits Opportunity for professional development through training and workshops Work in a collaborative team environment of experienced professionals Engage directly with a diverse client base across various industries Access to industry-specific insights and trends through publications and networking Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
