Senior Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist
About the role
Our Central Region Environmental businesses in both Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Houston, Texas are looking for a Senior Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications
- Coordinate and implement project permitting
- Interpret/evaluate environmental regulations
- Data compilation, reduction, and interpretation
- Management of clients
- Development of business opportunities
- Mentorship of staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field
- PE or PG will be highly regarded
- 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental remediation and site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients
- Project experience in federal contracts beneficial
- Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel client meetings is required
Qualifications
Salary: $86,600.00 - $167,000.00, varies based on experience and location.
Benefits: 401K - Employees are eligible to participate on the first day of the month following 3 months of service

Holiday Pay - Holiday pay is provided for eligible employees. GHD observes 9 holidays per year. Holiday pay will be based on the regular set schedule for the employee
