Senior Engineering Technician Civil

Responsibilities

• Perform construction observation and field inspection services for public works and municipal infrastructure projects, including streets, utilities, stormwater, and site improvements.
• Cook with contractors, municipal staff, utility representatives, and project managers to support successful project delivery in the field.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to verify construction activities comply with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Document project progress through daily reports, photographs, quantity tracking, and field measurements.
• Assist with construction staking verification, material testing coordination, and resolution of field issues during construction.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance on construction inspection procedures and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology (or related field) required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 5+ years of related experience required.

• Compensation Range: $29–$47 an hour (commensurate with experience).
